Peanut Butter Energy Bites

A quick, easy and nutritious energy snack. Perfect for a post workout refuel option or as an afternoon snack!
Servings 24 yields


  • 2 cups rolled oats (*can use quinoa flakes for gluten free recipe)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or rice malt syrup
  • 1/2 cup and 1tablespoon crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds* (*if legally allowed to be consumed as food)
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup cacoa nibs


  • Blend 1 cup oats, dates, chia and hemp seeds until fine
  • Combine with the remainder of ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until mixture combined
  • Roll into balls and freeze (can leave in fridge for 30 minutes before rolling to help)


Can be consumed directly from freezer
Will keep for about 1 month (but will never last that long!)
