I recently ordered a box of bananas and they ripened much quicker than I expected. So I needed to use some of them up really quickly. What better way to use them up (apart from freezing of course!) than in banana bread. This recipe is moist and tasty and is great to have any time of day. It can even be toasted and topped with caramelised bananas-how about that for a weekend treat!

I have an abundance (I mean serious abundance) of passionfruit in my garden at the moment. I have given heaps away but they just keep coming. So this morning as I picked some more off the vine after I had been for a run, I decided to open the fridge, freezer and pantry and see what I could come up with. This is the result and I love it. I hope you enjoy it too. You could also use less milk and make it into a thicker smoothie bowl. Lucuma is a natural sweetener, full of antioxidants, Iron, Beta-Carotene, Vitamin B and Fibre. It is also anti-inflammatory and an immune booster. Studies show that it is also a natural healer for wounds. A great addition to your breakfast or snack.
I’ve been working on my dahl recipe for ages.There has been a lot of tweaking to get it ‘just right’ and I finally feel that this is it! This is a wonderful, healthy, hearty meal which is great especially in winter. I usually make a big pot of it as it freezes really well. You can use any vegetables that you have in the house and the spiciness can be adjusted to suit the individual. Enjoy!
