Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bark

Perfect for the chocolate craving. If you make it yourself you know exactly what is in it. Cacao is full of natural antioxidants and is high in magnesium and iron. Who said chocolate couldn’t be healthy ?!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil or cacao butter (I used half of each which equals 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons of each)
  • 1/2 cup mixed fruit and nuts (I used blanched almonds and inca berries)

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking tray or cake tin with baking paper
  • Add mixed fruit and nuts and evenly spread
  • Melt coconut oil and cacao butter together
  • Stir in maple syrup
  • Add cacao powder and mix until all combined
  • Pour into baking tray or cake tin
  • Leave to set in freezer for at least one hour
  • Break into rough pieces to serve

Notes

Can add flavours such as peppermint or wild orange using food grade essential oils
Store in freezer as will melt quickly
