Almond Milk Blueberry Smoothie

This smoothie is a great way to get your greens in without being able to notice. Low in calories, but high in nutrients blueberries are a great addition to your diet. They contain the highest antioxidant capacity of all commonly eaten fruit and vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond milk (homemade if possible)
  • 1/2-1 cup blueberries (frozen if possible)
  • 1 tsp acai powder
  • 1/4 cup dates
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup greens (choose between kale or spinach leaves)

Instructions
 

  • Add milk to blender
  • Add rest of ingredients (greens last) and blend until smooth (use smoothie setting if blender has this option)
  • Serve and enjoy

Notes

Serve topped with blueberries and chia seeds
Add ice to taste if none of the fruit is frozen, or alternatively chill fruit first
